The EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security has appointed Dr. Larry Kawa as its newest member and Florida director.

Today the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security has appointed Boca Raton orthodontist and self-taught expert Dr. Larry Kawa as its newest member.
The EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security is a Congressional Advisory Board dedicated to achieving protection of the United States from electromagnetic pulse (EMP), cyber-attack, mass destruction terrorism and other threats to civilian critical infrastructures on an accelerated basis.
“I am truly humbled by this honor,” said Dr. Larry Kawa, “I’ve always tried to do my part to give back to the country that I love so much. At a young age, it was instilled in me that democracy required an informed citizenry, so I’ve always done my best to learn as much as I can.”
The task force is concerned about the vulnerability of the United States’ electrical grid and other critical infrastructures and the danger that it poses to American familes. Task Force members include citizens, engineers, field experts, and others, all united by a concern for the American people.
As part of this appointment. Dr. Kawa will lead the task force’s activities in the state of Florida to help protect the state’s electrical grid.
“What’s amazing to me is that our electrical grid can be secured for a relatively low amount of money,” commented Dr. Kawa, who is the President of Kawa Orthodontics. “For something that poses such as great risk, we can solve this relatively easily. I look forward to working with the EMP Task Force to help secure the power grid of Florida and of our country.”
The Task Force on National and Homeland Security is an official Congressional Advisory Board recognized as such by the Ethics Committee under the name “The Task Force on National and Homeland Security” and as a Virginia based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the name “EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security”.
About Dr. Larry Kawa
Dr.Larry Kawa is a proud second generation orthodontist in Boca Raton Florida since 1993. Dr. Larry Kawa earned his degree from New York University in 1991 and his specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopedics from New York University in 1993. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Brooklyn College in 1987. He is a dual Board Certified Orthodontist, having been Board Certified by the National Board of Orthodontics.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, South Palm Beach County Dental Association (where he has served on the board of trustees), Broward County Dental Association and Southern Association of Orthodontists.
