Craftsmen Industries, Inc. has over 170 employees who are masters of their trades working under one roof. This close collaboration allows them to engineer, design, and innovate unique solutions, especially when it comes to mobile medicine. The new box truck recently completed will allow providers from CORE Occupational Medicine to bring their medical services to workers nationwide.

While Craftsmen was founded as a trailer sales company in the Midwest, the company quickly grew and adapted to its customers’ needs. By adding specialized services, including large scale printing, vinyl wraps, and custom slide-outs, Craftsmen developed the ability to customize each build to the intended function of the vehicle. Because all the specialties are in one facility, Craftsmen can easily accommodate special requests, stay within established budgets, and meet deadlines. This mobile medical vehicle for CORE Occupational Medicine fits right in the Craftsmen wheelhouse.

“Working at Craftsmen is always exciting because no two builds are exactly the same,” remarked Mark Steele, CEO and Co-Owner. “Every client has unique needs, in this case, an audiology booth. Our team had to figure out what it would take to build out a functional workspace and a waiting room. The solution is elegant, and we are proud of the final product.”

Headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, CORE Occupational Medicine provides medical support to employers across the United States. Their services include injury management, on-site testing, and substance abuse support.

The custom 26-foot box truck fabricated by Craftsmen Industries will provide occupational service equipment and hearing tests. The truck features:

  • Exterior entrance platform and stairs
  • Entrance shade awning
  • Internal internet
  • Waiting room with seating
  • 8-person audiology booth
  • Working space for an audiologist
  • Custom exterior graphics

“For many of our clients, the trailer or vehicle they need to get the job done doesn’t exist — yet,” said Steele. “I am proud of the Craftsmen team’s ability to listen to those needs and then turn around and make them a reality. It’s an amazing process to watch as they engineer solutions, design, fabricate, and build. And when it’s all done, polish it off with just the right custom vinyl wrap or interior signage before delivering it to the client.”
