Culture Intake Announces Launch Of Online Learning Platform Celebrating Different Cultures, Identities, And Values

Industry: Advertising & Marketing

Chicago, IL (PRUnderground) February 11th, 2021

Culture Intake is announcing the launch of its online learning platform celebrating different cultures, identities, and values. The platform will be available at https://cultureintake.com in March 2021.

Founder & CEO Cydney Joseph, the 24-year-old African-American innovator behind the brand, says the platform celebrates uniqueness. “Culture Intake will be content-rich,” she says, “In that we’re inviting people to post videos and podcasts on the site as the means to tell their own stories.”

Topics will span history and traditions, language, food, beauty and wellness, and more. “This will help people mitigate their own blind spots, because here they can learn about different people from other parts of the world.”

Joseph adds that Culture Intake is highly relevant at this particular moment in US and world history. “We’re experiencing social, racial, and political unrest,” she says, “And people want a way to make a change, yet there’s no clear space for them to do that, nor is there a centralized place for an audience to come, listen, and learn.”

Having professional experience as a strategy consultant, Joseph remarks that nearly every company provides professional training on cultural blind spots, but that training centers on the reality that those blind spots exist, not on how to eliminate the issue. She adds that Corporate America’s renewed push for diversity and inclusion is, “the least we can do at this point. We have to move beyond that and fully understand and appreciate people’s differences.”

Joseph is committed to making sure that all marginalized people feel included, engaged, and supported in every environment. “Marginalized communities share similar experiences within so many different spaces in Corporate America,” she says, “as well as in spaces outside of the traditional corporate structure.”
Culture Intake is inviting content creators to sign up for the site, and anticipates 500 content creators within the first 30 days. Content creators will have a profile page and be able to upload videos and podcasts directly. Content will be posted after being evaluated and passing an approval process.

Overall approval guidelines will ensure content creators are fully expressing themselves without infringing on other people’s rights or beliefs. “We want numerous different opinions,” Joseph says, “But we don’t want anyone to feel unsafe or targeted.”
