Dantzler of Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Ralston Dantzler Realty (CBCSRD) Becomes New Chairman of the Board for Central Florida Development Council (CFDC)

R. Todd Dantzler, CCIM, broker and managing partner of Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Ralston Dantzler Realty (CBCSRD), was installed as the new Chairman of the Board for the Central Florida Development Council (CFDC) last week.

The organization is Polk County’s Economic Development Partnership, designated by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners. CFDC’s mission is to recruit new businesses to Polk County and help existing local businesses grow. Dantzler served on the CFDC executive committee for six years, and was Vice Chairman this past year, before moving into his current role replacing Larry Madrid.

When asked what initiatives he was most excited about, Dantzler replied that he was focused on engaging a research park along the I-4 Corridor.

“I want all of Polk County to put forth the commitment with all the providers of higher education and all of our businesses to help develop and make successful a high-level research park in the Florida High Tech corridor in Polk County,” Dantzler said. “A successful and well-developed research park will be a game changer for all of Polk County and I want to encourage us to get behind it.”

He also believes there are other key opportunities for development, including progress toward FDOT construction of the eastern leg of Polk Parkway, improving healthcare opportunities and enhancing air cargo operations and airports in the area.

In addition to his new role, Dantzler is also a member of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners. He is the Commission liaison to the Central Florida Development Council, serves on the Finance Committee, the Community Relations Advisory Council and the Polk Transportation Planning Organization.
