OfficePartners360 (OP360)—a leading provider of customer service and custom back-office solutions—recently conducted a COVID-19 Vaccine Survey to determine and curb vaccine hesitancy in the workforce, according to David Highbloom, its Chief Administrative Officer.
According to the results, 69% of the survey respondents were hesitant to get vaccinated. To address this, OP360 rolled out a COVID-19 Vaccination Information Bulletin to demystify and encourage vaccination.
The company has partnered with Project Balik Buhay and the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas to register employees for free COVID-19 vaccination. Other private companies have additionally joined this public-private partnership, which is unique to Cebu City, Philippines.
As a result of these efforts, 640 OP360 employees registered for vaccination so far. This count is 48% higher than expected based on the initial vaccine survey, according to Highbloom. OP360’s Safety & Health Team will coordinate the vaccine rollout. The company is awaiting the final vaccination schedule as well as the assignment of the vaccination site. Priority will be given to registrant-employees with comorbidities, per National Vaccination Guidelines. A second round of registration has already been scheduled to cater to additional staff.
In addition to encouraging employees to get vaccinated, OP360 is enforcing strict COVID-19 prevention and control measures companywide, exceeding the mandates of relevant government agencies such as the Philippines Departments of Health, Labor and Employment, and Trade and Industry. For instance, OP360 requires a Safety & Health Clearance for employees before they can work on-site. The company also hosts regular information drives on the importance of wearing face masks and face shields in the office, in addition to providing other health and safety tips on how to prevent and control COVID-19 infections.
OP360 is furthermore providing employees with regular updates on COVID-19. David Highbloom said the company looks forward to maintaining and promoting the highest level of physical and mental health and overall well-being of its employees even after the pandemic.
