Diverse Creative Studio Heavy Heavy Fostering San Antonio Tech

Industry: Business

The trio at Heavy Heavy are getting the San Antonio tech community off on the right digital foot, helping to grow local startup interest.

San Antonio, TX (PRUnderground) June 10th, 2014

Heavy Heavy, LLC, a small, creative studio specializing in content, identity, and web design and development, is helping to deliver solutions unique to tech startups. The studio, based in San Antonio, is entrenched in the local tech community and has worked with several hometown tech businesses to help create their online identity.

The studio is comprised of Steven Darby (Creative Director), Erik Ford (Digital Director), and Jeanette Fernandez (Content Director). Darby and Fernandez are San Antonio natives, while Ford hails from Harlem, NY. The trio founded the company to help provide creative solutions that are specific to small startups, especially those in the tech field. “We like working with passionate people, and tech startups are among the most passionate,” states Darby. “It’s important for Heavy Heavy to do work that inspires us and works well with our clients’ goals. We make it a point to partner with companies that are ethical and provide a positive service.”

Heavy Heavy has been working with tech startups since its inception. The success rate of their clients Codeup, Pressable, Local Sprout, and Written clearly illustrates the studio’s knowledge and expertise in the field. But, it’s their commitment to mentoring and collaborating with San Antonio designers, developers, creators and community organizations that drive the founders. They recently moved their office to Geekdom, located in the Rand Building in downtown S.A., to further cultivate their creative partnerships and be a part of the growing downtown movement.

As tech startups spring up, and local officials position S.A. as a tech hub, Heavy Heavy is committed to supporting its growth by providing strategic tools and solutions to help this community thrive. “Creating the right message for startups is crucial,” says Fernandez. “We strive to craft compelling content, web design and logo work that tells their story and resonates with their audience. It’s important that we play a role in San Antonio’s growing tech community. We wouldn’t want it any other way.”
