DJ Raw B Drops 1st Solo Album, Uncorrupted

Industry: Entertainment & Games

Uncorrupted Available Now on All Major Platforms

Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) April 24th, 2020

Legendary DJ Raw B releases his first solo album, Uncorrupted. The album follows the acclaimed success of 2019’s Born Illness, by DJ Raw B and Luke Sick.

DJ Raw B’s first solo project contains a collection of clever beats and hip-hop collaborations featuring several MCs, including Bay Area veterans Luke Sick, Z-Man, Dan Wolf, and Emcee Infinite.

Although some may categorize the album as a hip-hip throwback album, DJ Raw B has a more accurate description of Uncorrupted. “I would say I am a classically trained hip-hop DJ and that sound definitely comes through on this record. But there’s also futuristic dimensions of funk, soul, dance, and world music that encompasses these songs,” says DJ Raw B. “I named the album Uncorrupted because it’s just that, not corrupted. Not corrupted by trends, record label executives, cookie-cutter sounds, etc.”

After spending nearly 30 years in the music industry, DJ Raw B is finally ready to share his ideas, experiences, and relationships with the world. He attributes the delay in releasing his collection of material to his previous addictions to drugs and alcohol. Since becoming sober over 3 years ago, DJ Raw B figured this was the right time.

Uncorrupted available now on Apple Music and all other major platforms. Follow DJ Raw B on Twitter for future releases and more information.

About DJ Raw B

DJ Raw B started his career in the early ’90s as a co-host and DJ for Beat Sauce, a critically acclaimed underground hip-hop show in San Franciso, CA. Notable guest appearances on the show were Jay-Z, Eminem, Outkast, Common, the Black Eyed Peas, Jurassic 5. Slick Rick, KRS-ONE, Mobb Deep, Afrikka Bambatta, and many more. As the show grew, so did DJ Raw B’s career, as he became “Best Local Club DJ” in 2001 by the San Franciso Bay Guardian. His shows ranged from underground hip-hip clubs to lavish, higher-end clubs. He was also a member of Double Life, a musical group with rappers L-Roneous and Gennessee. The group’s “Revolutions 12” is considered by some as a classic ‘90s hip-hop record. DJ Raw B also collaborated on several live projects, including Smashmouth’s performance of “All-Star” in the movie, Rat Race, Brougham’s 2001 Blow Pig Tour, and numerous others. Other accomplishments in commercial radio include working on KMEL’s “Sway In The Morning”, KCBS news station, and KNBR’s “Morning Show with Murph & Mac.” His merch and hard copies for his last album with Luke Sick, Born Illness, are available on his website.
