Dr. Adriana Strimbu Offers Guidelines for Treatment of Heel Pain

Industry: Healthcare

Heel pain is a common complaint that can be met with conservative treatment in most cases

Hallandale, FL (PRUnderground) July 8th, 2020

Since she began her Hallandale Beach, Florida, private podiatry practice in 2002, Dr. Adriana Strimbu notes that heel pain has consistently been among the top ailments her patients seek treatment for. Fortunately, according to Dr. Strimbu, most of these cases can be effectively resolved with safe and conservative treatment. Patients can get back on their feet with quick, effective conservative solutions for various foot and ankle problems.

Dr. Strimbu, who holds her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, specializes in conservative treatment for foot and ankle pain and discomfort. She specializes in the treatment of a wide array of conditions, including diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, arch and heel pain, circulatory problems, swelling, neuropathy, fracture, sports injuries, and more with tools such as orthotics, imaging, braces, shoes and insoles, circulation tests, and neuropathy tests.

According to Dr. Strimbu, many patients come in with heel pain. In many cases, heel pain can be attributed to plantar fascitis. In this common condition, the tissue connecting the heel bone and toes becomes inflamed and causes pain and discomfort. While this is perhaps one of the most common causes of heel pain, it isn’t the only one. Dr. Strimbu works to make an accurate diagnosis, which in the case of heel pain could include conditions such as heel spurs, Achilles tendonitis, Baxter’s neuritis, fat pad atrophy, Hauglands deformity, bursitis, posterior tibialis tendonitis, peroneal tendonitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, ruptured plantar fascia, or calcaneal stress fracture.

“Custom orthotics are a must when treating heel pain and plantar fascitis,” said Dr. Strimbu. Other non-surgical options that can be used in the treatment of heel pain, whether caused by plantar fascitis or another one of the causes of heel pain, include Remi class IV pain laser treatment and regenerative medicine. Custom made orthotics are one of the go-to treatments that yield a satisfactory level of relief quickly.

Heel pain can impact the day to day life of anyone affected, but conservative treatment can provide promising results. With a proper diagnosis in place, Dr. Strimbu can more effectively provide solutions for her patients. By working one-on-one with them to discover the root of their foot and ankle pain, Dr. Strimbu yields results that keep her patients happy.

Currently, Dr. Strimbu is accepting new patients for an array of foot and ankle conditions. In her office, multiple languages are spoken for convenience, including Romanian, Russian, and Spanish. More information can be found at https://hallandalebeachfootdoctor.com.
