Dr. Larry Kawa to Launch the Summer Smiles Program in Boca Raton

Dr. Larry Kawa of Kawa Orthodontics is launching a new campaign entitled "Summer Smiles" designed to get kids focused on dental and orthodontic care.

They say that a beautiful smile can change your life. That’s why Dr. Larry Kawa, Founder and President of Kawa Orthodontics in Boca Raton is launching a “Summer Smiles ” campaign designed to get young people focused on their smiles.
During the campaign, Dr. Kawa will be offering complimentary Smile Consultantions for children and will be giving away free toothbrushes at his Boca Raton Kawa Orthodontics office to promote brushing at least twice a day to maintain a healthy smile.
“A smile is the key to long term health and happiness,” said Dr. Kawa, who has over 30 years of experience in dentistry and orthodontics. “Studies have shown that people who smile live longer, are married longer, are more satisfied with their life, are less aggressive, and report overall better general health.”
In a study of 200 professional baseball players, Researchers found that the players who were consistently photographed with a genuine Duchenne smile were about 50% less likely than non-smilers to be deceased in a given year.
In another study, researchers analyzed Facebook profile pictures from first-semester college students. Those students who smiled more in their profile picture reported greater satisfaction with their social relationships and their life overall.
As part of the Summer Smiles campaign, Dr. Kawa is encourgaging children of all ages to upload their photos to his Kawa Orthodontics Facebook page with the tag #KawaSmiles.

Dr.Larry Kawa is a proud second generation orthodontist in Boca Raton Florida since 1993. Dr. Larry Kawa earned his degree from New York University in 1991 and his specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopedics from New York University in 1993. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Brooklyn College in 1987. He is a dual Board Certified Orthodontist, having been Board Certified by the National Board of Orthodontics.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, South Palm Beach County Dental Association (where he has served on the board of trustees), Broward County Dental Association and Southern Association of Orthodontists.
