Drug and Alcohol Detox Facility, Pine Tree Recovery Center, Now Open in Portland, Maine

Pine Tree Recovery Center is announcing that its new 22-bed medically monitored detox facility is now open. Located in Portland, Maine, Pine Tree Recovery Center is facing a strong local need seeking assistance with detox services, particularly with alcohol and opioid treatment.

While both alcohol and opioid abuse is a growing nationwide problem, Portland, Maine has been in the spotlight due to its high rate of opioid related issues. Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently visited Portland to address this situation. He noted that approximately 64,000 people nationwide died from drug overdoses in 2016, a number roughly equivalent to the population of Portland.

From its newly renovated facility, Pine Tree Recovery Center medically manages withdrawal symptoms from opioids, alcohol and various other substances. As an additional service, Pine Tree staff assist clients with aftercare planning to help individuals reintegrate into everyday life.

Pine Tree also offers space on its upper level for independent providers to deliver ancillary services on an outpatient basis. Services provided at this location will include recovery coaching, individual and family therapy, intervention and case management services, just to name a few. There is also additional space for clinicians to host training sessions.
