Ed4Online is delighted to announce that it is being recognized at a formal event, hosted by Center for America (CFA), for its efforts in providing employment for National Guard members and veterans. The event will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Hall of Flags, headquarters of the National Guard Association of the United States, in Washington D.C.
The event will host a variety of employers, trade associations, nonprofits, law firms and National Guard State Commands, recognizing their continued efforts to create opportunities and provide resources for service members seeking to expand their career potentials. Recognized organizations will receive the first ever Center for America Award for Outstanding Commitment and Leadership in Helping National Guard Members and Veterans Gain Civilian Employment.
“This is a tremendous honor for Ed4Online and one that we take great pride in accepting,” said Dr. Rusty Barrier, President and CEO at Ed4Online. “It has always been our mission to help our service men and women succeed in their civilian careers and we take every opportunity to assist them in any way that we can. Being recognized for our dedication affirms the success of that mission and we are excited to continue to empower our National Guard members.”
A variety of speakers will take the podium at the event, to recognize the efforts of each organization being praised. Notable speakers include Lt. General Joseph Lengyel. Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau and Major General (ret.) Gus Hargett, President of the National Guard Association of the United States.
Through its continued support of enlisted service members and veterans, Ed4Online has been instrumental in helping those seeking to further their career options after active duty by providing easily accessible online education options. In creating tailored educational resources that transcend the traditional classroom and any geographical education barriers, the company is giving these service members the skills needed to find and sustain gainful civilian employment.
Ed4Online also has a rich history of offering employment opportunities to military spouses, veterans and National Guard members. The company leverages its online operational aspect to offer these groups telecommuting opportunities that are not affected by sudden displacement by the armed forces, family schedules or other strenuous scheduling conflicts that make finding civilian work difficult.
Angela Caban, Marketing Specialist at Ed4Online, will represent the company to accept the award on behalf of Ed4Online.
