MoCA®, Multimedia over Coax Alliance, in collaboration with InCoax Networks® will share how a brownfield MDU capitalizes on the benefits of fiber broadband networking by using existing in-place wiring to solve last mile challenges.

The presentation will showcase a recent fiber access extension made at a 256-apartment complex deployed by non-profit ISP, PCs for People on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, Day 1 of the UFBB BASe Face-to-Face Conference 2022 held at the NH Hotel, Den Haag, the Netherlands.

The solution utilizes MoCA Access™ 2.5 to extend the reach of fiber broadband by repurposing existing coax in the apartment complex to deliver high speed broadband to every apartment.

Executive Director of PCs for People, Tom Esselman, says, “InCoax’s MoCA Access™ 2.5 based fiber access extension technology provides Stoneridge Apartments’ tenants with the symmetric gigabit network connectivity they need for schoolwork, healthcare, community services, working from home, and applying for jobs remotely.”

From September 7-9, 2022, the three-day UFBB BASe event will include main plenary sessions, roundtables, live demonstrations, sponsor booths, and networking and social opportunities and examine the current hottest topics and challenges in broadband today. UFBB BASe meets the requirements for more technical discussion, technical advancements, real-life implementations, testing, strategic technical planning, and valuable peer-to-peer networking.
