Eyes4Research & Twofivesix Study Reveals Most Gamers Play 10+ Hours a Week
Eyes4Research surveyed more than 1000 gamers to learn more about who plays video games, how they like to play them and their gaming gear spending habits.

An in-depth survey provides a look into the complex world of gamers.
Diving deeper into the big business of gaming, Eyes4Research has conducted a wide-ranging survey of gamers, in partnership with gaming insights firm Twofivesix. With results from over 1,000 respondents based primarily in the U.S., The survey gives a revealing look into who gamers are, how they identify, and what they want in the games they play and the gear they buy.

A quick snapshot of key findings from the survey:
- 43% of respondents stated that they spend 5 or more hours a week playing video games.
- 19% of respondents stated that they play video gamers multiple times a month.
- 53% of respondents stated that they describe themselves as Black or African American.
- 76% of respondents stated that they have some sort of disability.
Jamin Warren, CEO of TwoFivesix stated that “Marketers need to know the gaming audience is diverse, not just demographically but also in terms of play styles, habits, interests, and more. Our findings reveal some welcome surprises such as a conflicted view on eSports, gaming live streams, and the dreaded “favorite game” question.
With worldwide revenue from gaming set to top $100 billion by the end of 2023, this survey provides valuable insight into the gaming audience, including what motivates them to buy games and gaming gear.
