Regarding the “Saints Francis and Clare Retreat, Retreat Director Sr. Anne Marie Lom OSF said “The inspiration for this retreat was born when I was giving a retreat to our three newest members in June, 2020.It is based on a Spirituality of Place, that is, if we go to the place (virtually or physically) where these saints lived and prayed, we will imbibe their spirit and immerse ourselves in their world of spirituality and prayer. During this time we will virtually travel to Assisi, Italy, and see the places and walk the roads where St. Francis and St. Clare lived and prayed. We will immerse ourselves in how they experienced God and our call to holiness. We will learn prayers of these two saints who entrusted their entire lives to God.”

Sister Anne Marie Lom, OSF, was on the University of San Francisco summer faculty for ten years, teaching in the Applied Spirituality Graduate Program. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc, WI and a Masters Degree in Applied Spirituality from the University of San Francisco. She also received further training in Franciscan Spirituality and Spiritual Direction during a three-month internship in Toronto, Canada. Sister spent 6 years training employees of St. Nicholas Hospital and associated clinics, Sheboygan, WI in Franciscan Spirituality. For 6 years, Sister served on the Leadership Team of her Community coordinating retreat and continuing formation events. Presently, she is the Coordinator of St. Francis House of Prayer, Manitowoc. She gives retreats, workshops and days of recollection to various groups including young adults, those in Formation for her Congregation, faculties, and parish and health care staffs. She volunteers as a Spiritual Director for members of Spiritus, a Diocesan Group igniting faith in Catholic Youth.
