First Persian Underground Rapper Tohi Releases New Single "OUT THE BOX"

Rapper Tohi has a passion for his craft that has led him on an incredible journey. From illegal underground rap clubs in Tehran to major venues seating thousands of people, Tohi has worked his way up the scene into the hearts of millions of listeners. His latest single “OUT THE BOX” is the first of many English language releases for the International artist. “OUT THE BOX” will be available on all major music platforms including Spotfiy and Soundcloud on April 19th.

The themes of “OUT THE BOX” echo Tohi’s own evolution as an artist as he transitions into making English language music. Trap beats and a slick hip-hop flow are combined with the classic sounds of a violin, played by renowned violinist Ezinma who has collaborated with Beyonce, Clean Bandit and Mac Miller. The track is about stepping out of your comfort zone to try new, fresh things. The inspirational track reminds listeners that anything is possible and the importance of thinking outside the box. “I love to inspire people through my music,” says Tohi.

“OUT THE BOX” was written and produced by Team Tohi, based in London. After establishing himself as a Persian artist, Tohi has made it his goal and passion to express his love for English music by creating music of his own.

A music video for “OUT THE BOX” is currently in the works, Tohi is excited about announcing a release date soon. Shot at a warehouse in Los Angeles, the video features an appearance by Ezinma and creatively showcases Tohi’s interest in fashion by incorporating high fashion artists and models.

“OUT THE BOX” is just the beginning for Tohi. He has five more singles set for release throughout 2019 and an album planned for release before the end of the year. “My journey has been crazy until this point, and still this is just the beginning,” says Tohi.

Tohi is a rap artist currently based in Los Angeles, CA. He started his musical career as the first Persian rapper at the age of 13. He was forced to perform illegally in his native Tehran, where rap has been banned. In order to chase his dreams, Tohi located to Dubai for two years where he was able to create music openly, followed by a move to London. As he continued to build his career Tohi performed at major venues such as Barclaycard Arena Hamburg and The Global Arena Stockholm and HMV Forum London O2 and won awards including Best Hip Hip and R&B Act for DAF BAMA Music Awards 2016 and 2017.
