Nikole Haumont and Shield Bar Marketing, a full-service boutique marketing firm, were both recognized for excellence in 2019:

• Haumont was named one of “2019 AZ19 Most Influential People” by the Green Valley News, Sahuarita Sun and Nogales International newspapers.

• Shield Bar Marketing, represented by Haumont was also one of three finalists for the 3rd Annual Sahuarita’s BizEdge Shark Tank event sponsored by the Small Business Development Center at Pima Community College that hosts coaching workshops to promote established businesses.

History
After completing HTML certification in 1999, she was hired directly by a Native American newspaper to develop its website. In 2002, Nikole co-founded Today’s Horse Magazine—a monthly horse publication that was sold in 2008 and is still in publication today. While working at Go Daddy, Haumont realized that there was a need for honest and reliable marketing professionals to help entrepreneurs navigate the online world. The Shield Bar, Haumont’s business logo, was inspired by the cattle brand her grandfather created in her native Montana. “My grandfather’s word was ‘as good as gold,’ and I apply this trait to an ever-changing online world. I love helping small business owners learn how to get that extra boost with their marketing—helping them learn how to do it themselves or hiring Shield Bar Marketing to manage it all for them. I tell them: ‘You started your business for a reason and I want to help you succeed!’”

In 2017 Haumont, her husband, Simon, and their son, Lincoln, moved to Sahuarita, Arizona, a small, yet growing community 20 miles south of Tucson, and 37 miles north of the Mexican border.

Digital Advertising Management and Search Engine Optimization are now available as a stand-alone service. “Previously, only if we managed the client’s social media or designed and hosted their website would we offer these. We are excited to these two services to all small business owners,” Haumont shares.
