There has been some more good news for Ford, as the group’s classic Mondeo model has been officially recognised as the UK’s best ‘roadrunner’.

There has been some more good news for Ford, as the group’s classic Mondeo model has been officially recognised as the UK’s best ‘roadrunner’ by leading insurance company Warranty Direct.
After a strong, economy-defying year of sales for new and used Ford cars, the recently released figures are a further reminder of the organisation’s consistently high performance levels.
The wide-ranging survey suggests that the Ford Mondeo travels an average of around 15,000 miles every year, which beats its nearest rival, the Volvo S80, by a significant gap of almost 600.
On top of this, the data revealed that the brand is also one of the most reliable on the market. Warranty Direct’s records showed that a mere 15% of owners make a warranty claim year on year, compared to 44% of another well-known model. This figure becomes even more impressive when taking the extraordinary mileage that the average Mondeo continues to rack up into account.
