Ford steps ahead at the Detroit Motor Show

One of the greatest ways to catch a glimpse into the future of motoring is to visit one of the major motor shows that take place across the world each year. One show that has just opened its doors is one of North America’s largest offerings, the Detroit auto show, and this year the Ford Motor Company plan on making a huge statement.

The motoring giants have created a huge interactive display that is designed to showcase the company’s vision for what lies in store for its constantly evolving range of in-car technology. The ‘Ford Living Connected Experience’ has already had the press extremely excited and is a great proving ground for the company’s ideas both in production and in development.

There are five different sections setup amongst the exhibition, each giving an insight into varied auto related topics including Living Green, Changing Population Demographics and Emerging Technologies.

Once you have gotten to the end of Ford’s interactive display you will be able to take an elevator 20 feet into the air into an area called ‘the cloud’. Once inside this area, twelve people at a time can view a 360 degree film that showcases the upcoming future of Ford’s in-car infotainment technology.

Even though much of the display is still in development, and therefore a large part of the technology is still unavailable in most Ford cars for sale, the devices will be a taste of what you could be experiencing in vehicles in the near future from your nearest Ford car dealership.
