Visiting the bilingual Bougmez Valley, the proposed itinerary includes walks in the picturesque Atlas, conducted by local guides in English or French, a visit to the village of Aguerd n’Ouzrou where preserved dinosaur footprints can be seen and of course the chance to practise the language first hand while haggling for bargains in the souks of Marrakech.
English is spoken less and less the nearer you travel to the ‘Happy Valley’ of Bougmez, our main base for this six day trip. Visits to a local school can be arranged, as well as the opportunity to learn more about the agricultural credentials of the region. The area is renowned for its friendly Berber inhabitants whose hospitality is legendary, and involvement in traditional customs such as preparing mint tea is a must, in this ideal base for French school trips with a difference.
