Speedhut introduces the Playback Tach: a revolution in tachometer technology.
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRUnderground) June 30th, 2015
When it comes to tachometers, there is a big difference between any tachometer and one designed especially for racing conditions. Speedhuts new Playback Tachometer is ready for aggressive runs on the track. The Playback Tachometer records and plays back a drivers run for clearer, precise information.
Founder of Speedhut, Aaron Westberg, comments on his companys latest innovation. Until now, without expensive computer hookups, large investments in technology, and adding extra weight inside a vehicle, racers didnt have many luxuries of playing back their run. Speedhuts latest Playback Tachometer is literally a game changer.
In addition to offering selectable playback speed including pause and rewind, the Playback Tachometer has several additional features.
- Control the gauge from a single, easy-to-reach external button to activate recording
- Monitor and Record Engine RPM
- Recall Maximum RPM
- Settable shift / warning LED light
- Examine run down to 1/100 of second
- Compatible with optional auxiliary warning light
The tachometers record feature can be setup for an RPM threshold that allows drivers to start recording at a designated RPM, so no recording time is lost. This includes adjustable record times of one, five, or ten minutes.
After a run is recorded it can be scrolled through on the tachometers digital screen and drivers can even step through the stored run in real time or 1/3-time increments.
