Goodera is back with new virtual volunteering activities and categories that celebrate the innovation and resilience of non-profits empowering women and girls 2022

San Mateo, CA (PRUnderground) March 7th, 2022

Goodera has announced the addition of 25 more non-profits to its Karma Hub – a  non-profit community, connecting corporate volunteers to help non-profits grow through virtual volunteering and other digital resources.

Announced this month, Goodera’s Karma Hub community of non-profits sees non-profit specialists from Goodera providing tailor-made virtual volunteering opportunities for 25 non-profits working for Women’s History Month.

As diverse as the non-profits, these volunteering opportunities vary as per the non-profit’s needs. However, the team also curated an itinerary that helps young non-profits get started with virtual volunteering for corporate groups. Some of them include –

  •  Create posters on the importance of education to inspire girls – These posters will encourage young girls to pursue studies with enthusiasm and help in nurturing their confidence and leadership skills.
  • Write letters to bust the stigma around menstruation and empower young girls– These letters will highlight the importance of menstrual health and help normalize conversations. Bust myths about menstrual health to build an inclusive community for women.

  • Record videos to share tips on interview skills and empower underserved women – These videos will encourage the women to take control of their own lives and guide them in this journey as they strive to live independently.

  • Record audio notes on the journey and beliefs of women leaders to influence girls – The non-profit will use these audio notes with girls aged 12-27 in the non-profit’s network to help educate and inspire them towards leading positive lives.

These short-term, team-based virtual volunteer opportunities enable corporate teams from Fortune 500 companies to understand the culture, mission, and programs of non-profits in a short period.

“We started the virtual volunteering programs for Women’s History Month in 2021 with a simple goal, to recognize the incredible work of non-profits in our community. We wanted to celebrate the commitment and dedication of women committed to helping advance our society, says Deepti Gupta, who oversees Non-profit Partnerships at Goodera.Women have the power to elevate organizations worldwide. Giving them more credibility as industry leaders strengthen the confidence of young girls everywhere.”

More recently, Goodera also added a new element on brand advocacy to help non-profits get better recognition and educate them on what they need to do on this front.

Goodera initially created virtual volunteering activities for non-profits working for Women’s History Month across 35 countries, but that’s since been expanded, with this month’s announcement taking the virtual volunteering program to 40 countries in total. Goodera says it’s aiming to reach 50 countries by the end of 2022. All non-profit organizations are eligible to partner. Slots are open today, March 1, through April 16, 2022.
