Bama-Q is a reality-based tv show that gives people a behind the scenes look into the world of competition barbecue. The show follows professional teams from the Alabama Barbecue Association as they travel the southeastern United States competing in KCBS sanctioned barbecue competitions. The show captures the cooking techniques and all the fun the barbecue cooks have as they compete for top awards and cash.

The show also featured couple of segments with recipes for the folks at home. One segment features a Pitmaster sharing a quick and delicious, 3 to 5 ingredient, easy-to-prepare recipe that anyone can make.
A second segment showcases a Pitmaster demonstrating special recipes and techniques for grilling on a typical backyard grill.
