HITLAB Welcomes Laurent van Lerberghe as New Board Member of Global Breakthrough Alliance and Chairman of Board for Europe

HITLAB (Healthcare Innovation and Technology Lab) is pleased to announce that Laurent van Lerberghe is joining the Breakthrough Alliance (BTA) board and will also serve as Chairman for the Breakthrough Alliance in Europe.
The mission of the HITLAB Breakthrough Alliance is to accelerate digital health globally and help digital health champions emerge across USA, Europe and Asia. Over the last few years, HITLAB has been taking actions to strengthen its footprint beyond USA and will now have a formal presence in Europe.
With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Laurent has a strong track record of building and leading businesses in Europe, USA and Asia. For the last 3 years as Chief Strategy Officer of Sanofi, Laurent reported to the CEO and has been one of the architect of 14 acquisitions. He also accelerated investments across the pipeline with a focus on oncology, immunology and digital health. Prior to Sanofi, Laurent held several commercial executive positions at Abbott, where he worked for about 10 years.
In January 2023, Laurent became an investor in digital health with a focus on accelerating digital health in Europe. He recently completed the first step executing initial investments across Europe and joining a number of boards of digital health companies.
