Homes of Light Announces Enterprise For Homeless People To Provide Professional Junk Removal Services

The nonprofit organization Homes of Light is launching Alliance Junk Removal for men and women experiencing homelessness to provide fee-based junk removal services.
Alliance Junk Removal specializes in residential and commercial junk removal, clean outs, and eviction services in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Reusable items are either recycled, used in supportive housing, or given to clients in permanent housing.
Chief Operating Officer Beverly Means says, “These men and women are looking for opportunities to get back on their feet. They have reached out to us for support. And we’re helping them on their journey back to self-sufficiency.”
Alliance Junk Removal helps raise revenue for Homes of Light’s supportive housing programs. Choosing Alliance over a competitor means customers are financially contributing to Homes of Light’s mission to end homelessness. The name of the service is “Alliance” because this works as a partnership between the community and the homeless clients.
Rates are competitive with other junk removal companies advertised in the Atlanta market. Alliance employees work in teams with a supervisor on the customer’s property at all times. They follow industry-standard safety precautions and take caution when navigating through different spaces such as tight staircases and corners, ensuring the property remains in good condition. Additionally, they are trained in customer service.
Since 2011, Homes of Light has assisted more than 750 individuals to become self-sufficient.
