In an astonishing display of skill Jeff Likes has won the 2020 Window Cleaning World Cup – and donated the prize money to charity.

Many people may not realize it but window cleaning is not just a profession – it can also be a competitive sport! The Window Cleaning World Cup was recently held at the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) conference in Savannah, Georgia. This year’s event saw Jeff Likes of Jeff Likes Clean Windows & Gutters impress all with a resounding victory.
Inspiring others, Jeff donated the $1,000 cash prize that he won in the competition to the non-profit Ronald McDonald House. Jeff was inspired to give the money to this charity after the IWCA organized a free window cleaning at the Savannah house that Jeff and his wife participated in this year.
Jeff Likes, the enthusiastic owner of Jeff Likes Clean Windows & Gutters says, “It is the highlight of my year to get to come together with other window cleaners from all over the world and be able to learn and grow together. It was a surprise to win this year’s competition and the window cleaning world cup there was some tough competition. And it was special to be able to donate the earnings to a worthy cause in need. I hope it inspires others to give back and pay it forward.”
The very highly esteemed Guinness Book of World Records were present and oversaw the event. Jeff was the speediest window cleaner for the 2020 competition, cleaning three commercial office windows in 13.44 seconds. But the 2009 record of Terry Burrows out of the UK remains intact. Jeff says “My last name is Likes and I really do like clean windows,” and he plans to continue to practice and hopes to one day break that world record. A video of his amazing feat can be seen here.
