Miami, FL (PRUnderground) September 3rd, 2019

Joe Schwartz Spa World, leading Miami-based manufacturer of bath products including Joe Schwartz walkin tubs, divulged the steps that should be taken for a complete bathroom remodeling, explaining why homeowners should plan out their bath renovations step-by-step so they know exactly what they’re getting into.

“Before homeowners attack a bathroom remodeling project, they should settle on a new design that fits their vision,” explains Schwartz. “There are so many different ways to approach a bathroom makeover, ranging from swapping out the vanity to gutting the space and starting over from scratch, and that’s precisely why we’ve been letting customers know what’s what with regard to the steps they should take.”

Before tackling a bathroom renovation, says Schwartz, there are a few design elements that homeowners need to determine, starting with a color scheme; knowing ahead of time what bathroom tiles don’t clash with a chosen paint color is an important step in the planning phase. Further, it should be determined, according to Joe Schwartz walkin tubs representatives, whether showers or tubs will be replaced or remodeled or if new sinks are going to be installed. Replacing one or both of these, says Schwartz, will add to a project’s time and budget.

Next, the aspect of storage should be taken into consideration – that is, spaces where a homeowner is going to keep towels and toiletries after the remodel is complete. If a family is, for example, removing a closet to expand the room, Schwartz suggests they ensure there is shelving or cabinets to make up for the lost storage space in the bathroom.

Finally, there should be a basic knowledge with regard to the location of utilities, which extends to knowing where the electrical wiring and plumbing pipes are located. What’s more, adds Schwartz, homeowners should have accurate measurements for each of these to pass along to anyone assisting with the remodel so they don’t end up needing expensive repairs.

According to industry experts like Schwartz and his Spa World staff, the steps to remodeling a bathroom begin with removing or demolishing bathroom fixtures and move into installing a new shower or tub basin, installing new fixtures and features, laying down new floor tiles, hanging new drywall and beginning the painting process, installing new vanities and cabinets and then reconnecting all plumbing lines.
