A young actor who previously attended Performing Arts Academy John Robert Powers is now displaying his strong acting chops in a brand-new Web television series based on a Pulitzer Prize–winning and No. 1 New York Times bestselling book.

The 9-year-old actor will star in the television series alongside two established actors, one of whom previously received an International Emmy Award nomination. A Hollywood veteran is the executive producer of the series, which features 11 one-hour episodes.

The American history drama will be about a woman who makes a profound discovery while she is trying to escape life as a slave in the American Deep South. Specifically, after escaping from her plantation in Antebellum-era Georgia, the young woman finds a railroad featuring many conductors and engineers. At the same time, she discovers a covert network filled with tunnels and tracks beneath the soil. The new television series is a widely anticipated drama that is expected to be educational, captivating, and inspirational.

The former client of John Robert Powers who will appear in the new series has also been given a recurring acting role in another upcoming television series. In addition, the boy is set to appear as a guest star in an anthology series on television. He has also performed in piano recitals over a five-year period and was a lead soloist at a spring concert.
