Industry: Entertainment

A budding actress who is a previous client of John Robert Powers, a leading Performing Arts Academy, can be seen in action in a brand-new inspirational film that made its debut in select theaters in June.

Chicago, IL (PRUnderground) August 22nd, 2019

The faith-based movie is about a teenage boy who happens to be a legacy in the world of golf. The boy, whose father is a Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) veteran and whose brother is a rookie with the PGA, is also highly talented in the sport but lacks a passion for it. For this reason, the boy sabotages his school team tryout. At the same time, his father, who is disappointed in his son, goes on a drive and gets into an accident caused by texting and driving.

When the father ends up suffering a coma, the teenage boy blames himself for the accident. He then tries to get onto his school golf team, and after he claims a spot there, he makes history by becoming the first student in the state to lead his teammates in winning a state-level championship as a freshman. The boy then realizes the power in embracing the talents he has been given.

The former John Robert Powers client plays the role of a sweet nurse in the new movie — a nurse who ends up becoming the teenage boy’s love interest. Her role is a critical one in that her character ultimately helps to drive the teenage boy back to his school sport team, where he can put his golfing gift to use.

So far, the film has received positive reviews due to the combination of the actress’s and other actors’ strong skills behind the camera combined with the solid writing, where humor is incorporated into the dramatic and inspirational storyline. The actress is one of multiple up-and-coming artists who received top-tier training at John Robert Powers.
