Audiovisual Project Jubilee Takes Us to an Exotic-Noir Fantasy World with New Album, Where Is Jubilee?

Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) November 18th, 2019

Jubilee frontwoman Gia Cezar (“Zsa Zsa”) returns with a brand new single, “Peaches.” The new single is part of the project’s debut album Where Is Jubilee? — an audiovisual experience that whisks audiences away to an exotic-noir fantasy world.

The track “Peaches” undulates with an electro-pop grind while Gia sings with intoxicating soulfulness. The “Peaches” music video, centering around a high-stakes card game in lavish surroundings, conjures the edgy elegance of Casino Royale, Hemingway in Paris, The Great Gatsby, and classic noir.

Jubilee is the brainchild of Brazilian-American singer-songwriter Gia Cezar. It is an indie project that features sensual retro-futuristic pop singles, dazzling videos, and ultimately, a unique, interactive platform. Jubilee’s sound is a collage of Americana, Afro-Brazilian music, bossanova, and dream-pop. The songs include both organic and synthesized instruments and lyrics in English and Portuguese. The group describes the sound as if “Lana Del Rey & Harry Potter had a baby in the tropics.”

“My vision for Jubilee is to cultivate a community built on creativity, consciousness and a love for fantasy,” Gia says. “Music and videos are the mediums I use to share this experience and invite viewers into this world.” The album’s correlating videos feature Gia Cezar, Jessica Dantas, Brock O’Hurn, Achara Kirk, Kevin Creekman and more. Videos are written, directed and produced by Gia Cezar. Cinematography by 2Nice.

Up next for Jubilee, they’ll be releasing the opening video “The Invitation” following their video “The Garden” off of Where is Jubilee?

You can listen to “Peaches” on all major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music and stream the videos on YouTube. Follow Jubilee on Instagram and check out their website to stay up to date with the Jubilee community.
