Just In Time For The Holidays Luxury Brand Mae Nicole Candles Adds Reed Diffusers To Product Portfolio

Luxury brand Mae Nicole Candles is releasing reed diffusers this November as the newest addition to its growing product portfolio. Reed diffusers are the ideal alternative for those who enjoy space-filling scents but are reluctant to engage in the flame from a burning candle.

Staying on-brand with her environmentally-conscious candles, owner Shawntel Carter says the reed diffuser uses natural wood reeds and a vegan base that is infused with renewable coconut oil. Mae Nicole specializes in toxin-free coconut wax candles that burn a wooden wick. They are sophisticated and earthy and made from sustainable resources that are easily renewable. The wax is all-natural, vegan, as well as gluten-, toxin-, paraben-, and phthalate-free. “Coconut wax candles are a more natural option,” Carter says, “because they’re blended with coconut wax which burns cleaner than traditional soy wax candles that can emit toxins in your home.”

Carter launched May Nicole Candles in 2019, after she noticed the candles she regularly used were not particularly fragrant, and she got headaches when burning them. “That’s when I realized most of the candles were made of soy wax or some other unknown source,” she says. “So, I researched and looked for an eco-friendly candle that permeates through the room. Not finding what I was looking for, I decided to create my own.”

Carter centered her brand on homemade candles that would help people relive their favorite memories in a relaxing environment. “I handpick each fragrance to awake wonderful memories with your loved ones,” she says. Carter, who is from Minnesota, is also committed to sourcing her products from her home state and her current state, North Carolina.

Every handmade coconut wax candle is personally poured and the candles come in two sizes: a 4 ounce travel tin and a 12 ounce reusable glass container.  The 4 ounce travel tins are even footed to prevent the dissipation of heat and keep surfaces cool during burning.

November brings new seasonal scents for both the reed diffusers and candles. Hot Apple Pie, White Birch, Dragon Trees, and Cranberry Woods are here for the holidays. Black Sea, Love, White Sage & Lavender, Amber & Driftwood, and Dry Gin & Cypress are scents that stay throughout the year. Mae Nicole Candles will also always offer the top seller, “Love,” which is a tribute to the legacy, light, and love of Carter’s mother, who lost her battle with cancer in 2014. In her honor, 10% of the proceeds from each sale is donated to the American Cancer Society. Carter says the brand name, “Mae Nicole” is a combination of her mother’s middle name and her own middle name.
