KC Tees Partners With SAVE in Support Of Suicide Prevention Week

"HOPE" Tee to benefit organization aimed to provide awareness and education of Suicide.

KC Tees (www.KCTees.com) – a company with a message and a mission, has partnered with Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE) (www.Save.org) – a national, nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent suicide and reduce the stigma associated with suicide – for Suicide Prevention Week September 5-11, 2010.
Starting in September, 15% of the proceeds from the sale of KC Tees’ “HOPE” t-shirt will benefit SAVE.
Suicide is a public health crisis that is the 11th leading cause of death in the United States, with one suicide occurring on average every 16 minutes. Suicide is also the 3rd leading cause of death among 15-24 year olds and the 2nd leading cause of death in the 25-34 year-old age group.
The KC Tees “HOPE” tee supports SAVE’s efforts to help spread awareness of suicide, and its prevention across communities all over the world.
“After I experienced the heartbreaking loss of a young family member who tragically took his own life, I realized the importance of suicide awareness,” said Karen Crawford, CEO & Founder, KC Tees. “Suicide is a major public health problem and with more awareness, understanding and treatment, it can be averted. My hope is that anyone who’s been touched by suicide in some capacity will help support this effort.”
