Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) October 31st, 2020

King Taper and The Taper Project, LLC (www.thetaperproject.com) are announcing the debut of the smash-hit single, Mis Chakras, a reggae- and Caribbean-influenced track on the life-changing power of yoga.

St. Louis-born King Taper, who specializes in multi-dimensional music that blends the smooth sounds of R&B with hard-hitting stories, released the single after a challenging series of life events this year.

“My dog of 15 years died. My childhood best friend died. Plus there’s still the pandemic,” he says, “Without practicing yoga and balancing my energy, I would have gone off the deep end. I understand what happens when depression hits, and it’s important for Black and Brown people to embrace yoga as well.”

King Taper adds that Mis Chakras has a Latino influence in addition. “Mis chakras estan brillando,” translates into, “My chakras are shining bright.”

Mis Chakras was released the same day as The Holy Trinity album, King Taper’s aggressive ode to independence and freedom in life and business. The album is loaded with bangers from beginning to end.

King Taper, a retired celebrity barber, recently launched The Barber & Beauty Alliance of America, a union for barbers and beauty professionals that offers retirement options and insurance. The Alliance is kicking off its Down 2 Donate – Socially Responsible Investing campaign, an innovative approach to provide a credit union where industry professionals can get home and car loans for themselves and their families.

“Inspired by Nipsey Hussle’s Proud 2 Pay push, Down 2 Donate offers professionals in our field the ability to invest in the King Taper music catalog,” he says, “which over time will serve to be a much safer and more profitable long-term investment than the stock market, since music has low volatility, residual value, and long-term financial upside.”

King Taper adds that the Down 2 Donate Campaign also allows barbers and beauty professionals the opportunity to earn passive income by just playing the music while servicing clients, along with the charitable tax credit which can be used as a write off on taxable income.

King Taper’s discography also includes The Taper Project Vol. 1 (The Journey of a Dreamer), a collection of raw hip hop tracks, released in 2015. Love Me Forever and Ever followed in 2017, a sonically melodic album based on a theme he calls Trill R&B.
