The team at Salt Lake City’s LifeLaw personal injury firm is committed to empowering people who have been injured due to the negligence of others. They’re also committed to empowering women worldwide through the Pedal to Empower event and participated in the fun ride fundraiser on June 5.

Pedal to Empower is on its way to becoming the largest all-ages cycling event in the world, benefiting women and girls with life-changing bicycles. The bikes are given to women and girls in rural parts of the world who may lack access to education, paid work, and reproductive and maternal healthcare due to the distances they must travel. The bicycles close up those distances and also help women and girls avoid gender-based violence that they too often encounter while traveling on foot.

The personal injury lawyers at LifeLaw are known for their love of endurance sports. The firm’s Director of Claims, David A. Francis, was a member of the US Cycling team for three years, racing alongside teammates like Lance Armstrong and Jonathan Vaughters. Firm attorney Jared Inouye is an avid runner, mountaineer, and skier who holds the record for the fastest known time for ascending the Grand Teton on skis. The LifeLaw team combines their love of athletics with their passion for helping others rise above challenges.

“In our practice, we help people who have been wronged get the medical care and financial compensation they are entitled to through lawsuits for things like car accidents or medical malpractice,” said Inouye. “Through Pedal to Empower, we were able to raise funds to help women get the tools they need to improve their own lives as well as their families and communities.”

Pedal to Empower brought together cyclists from all over the world for events from June 2 to 5 with a goal to bike more than 500,000 km and raise awareness and funds for women’s transportation needs. The event coincided with World Cycling Day on June 3.

The LifeLaw team biked 3 km and raised $270.00. To learn more about LIfeLaw personal injury firm or their commitment to empowering people in need, call (801) 206-4002 or visit LifeLaw.com.
