This year’s Black Friday sale is expected to be the biggest ever in terms of both the number of deals available and total online spending. This year’s holiday season sales are expected to be up 4.5% on last year’s $650 billion record spend.
Shoppers are transitioning towards researching deals and making purchases online during the Black Friday sales week. A survey by the National Retail Federation highlighted that last year 109 million Americans shopped online over the Black Friday weekend compared with 99 million who went in-store, underlining e-commerce’s growing importance to retailers.
