Catherine Molenaar, a rising freshman at Colorado State University was recently awarded the $1000 Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya Safe Driver Scholarship.

The team of personal injury attorneys at the Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya personally benefited from pursuing a higher education and believe everyone should have a chance to receive a college degree. That is why Dianne Sawaya created the Denver Safe Driver Scholarship.
Today, the Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya is proud to announce that Catherine Molenaar is the third annual winner of the Denver Safe Driver Scholarship.
Catherine is a Liberty Commons High School student and plans to attend Colorado State University for Health and Exercise Science this fall. In her winning essay, Catherine shared her own frightening childhood experience with distracted driving and how she helps combat distracted driving now as a young adult.
“I’m so honored and glad that you found my story compelling. The winnings of this scholarship cover the equivalent of almost 90 hours spent working, meaning I’ll have that much more time in college to study, conduct research, and make connections; in the life of a student, that is a world of difference. I’ll be attending Colorado State University for Health and Exercise Science, in the hopes of continuing on to graduate school to become a physician’s assistant.” –Catherine
