The historic spa city of Bath in Somerset is celebrating local food this coming month with the annual Love Food Festival 2012 taking place at Green Park Station on June10

For many people, the historic spa city of Bath in Somerset is known mostly for its historical landmarks and attractions, plus it is also a centre for the arts in the South West. This coming month sees another celebration that the South West is famous for, with the Love Food Festival 2012 taking place at Green Park Station, which will be offering an extra large portion of local produce from farmers, growers and artisan food specialists.

Visitors to the festival will be able to sample and purchase from a wide selection of food on offer including locally grown fruit and vegetables and cheeses, plus an array of meat produce like rose veal, beef, mutton, chicken, venison, partridge, pheasant, smoked duck, dry-cured bacon, cooked hams, pancetta, plus some lovely traditional West Country hand-made pies.

On offer will also be a huge range of specialist chutneys and curry pastes, plus for anyone with a sweet tooth there is always a selection of locally produced cakes, chocolates, cake decorating supplies and locally sourced honeys.

Visitors will be pleased to know admission is free for everyone, with plenty of children’s activities for families.
