Re: Mako Networks at the NACS Show in Atlanta, October 1-4

Chicago, IL (PRUnderground) September 18th, 2019

Mako Networks is back at NACS for 2019. Mako is set to showcase new c-store offerings, including its latest Mako 6600 edge appliances. NACS, the annual convenience and fuel retailing industry event that brings industry professionals together to learn, network, and conduct business, is one of the largest shows of its type and is a “must” for technology providers like Mako that specialize in c-store tech. Mako has attended regularly since 2011. This year, Mako will be exhibiting an entirely new lineup of high-security, high-performance networking appliances and also its new Merchant PCI service, which helps take PCI DSS compliance and c-store network security even further using proprietary Mako technology.

Built for the distributed retail enterprise, Mako appliances and cloud solutions allow businesses to quickly and easily segment their payment networks and apply strict security controls. With a sealed, tamper-evident unit, no moving parts, and high heat tolerance, Mako appliances are well suited to the tough network environment of convenience and fuel retail locations. Features include SD-WAN; VPN Cloud; high availability; fast failover; zero-touch deployment; cloud-based configuration, reporting, and diagnostic tools; single- or dual‐SIM cellular; and WAN connectivity via LTE, Ethernet, fiber or xDSL at up to 1Gbit transfer speeds.

The entire Mako System—including Mako appliances, the Mako Central Management System (CMS), and onboard software—is PCI DSS certified from end‐to‐end, providing peace of mind and security for businesses that accept credit cards. Mako’s PCI-certified wireless networking technology is a perfect fit for wireless and tablet‐based POS systems.

Mako’s new Merchant PCI offering assists merchants by integrating vulnerability scanning services, multi-site compliance checks, assisted online annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) filings, and other tasks necessary to demonstrate compliance with PCI. New Mako CMS features for this include a PCI Dashboard, network vulnerability scanning, enterprise-wide SAQ templates, and automated SAQ tools for each merchant location.

“NACS is a great opportunity for us to meet new prospective customers, of course, but also to connect with our existing customers face-to-face,” said Simon Gamble, President of Mako Networks. “Customers always stop by our booth to meet us in person, ask questions, and learn about our solutions and our new offerings. We look forward to seeing everyone there!”
