Master Cosmetologist Gil Bryan Announces Queen For The Day Contest And Giveaway

Master cosmetologist Gil Bryan is announcing the Queen For The Day Contest AND Giveaway, allowing the online community to vote for the stylist or cosmetologist they believe has submitted the best hairstyle photos. The voter with the most points wins, “Queen For The Day,” with prizes totaling $300. Prizes include a $200 Amazon gift card, a $50 DoorDash Gift Certificate and a $50 Uber/Lyft Gift Certificate. Plus, the stylist with the most votes wins a separate $100 cash prize.
Bryan says the purpose of the contest is a way to re-engage clients and stylists as the covid-19 restrictions are slowly being lifted. And is a great way for up and coming licensed professional stylists, braiders, and barbers to build their brand, audience, and client base, in addition to showcasing their skills. “We’re primarily targeting voters ages 21-35 who are interested in getting their hair done,” he says, “We want them to let us know who their favorite stylists are.”
Stylists and cosmetologists can submit their entries online at www.ourfabuloushair.com. The rules state stylists must be licensed; entries are first-come, first-served until the maximum 25 spots are filled; and voting is tracked on a contest app accessed from the web site.
Bryan, a master cosmetologist, stylist, and salon owner for 16 years, has now transitioned into marketing in the hair / beauty industry. “I know how difficult it can be to be recognized in a crowded market. You have the skills but no one really knows about you,” he says, “My goal is to help a select few stylists, braiders, and barbers to change that.”
Queen For The Day features a different theme every month. Past themes have included Best Braid Styles, Best Short Styles, and Best Bob Styles. “We’ve come back around to ‘Best Braid Styles’ again because there are so many braids styles that participation goes up significantly,” he says.
“This contest has evolved,” he says, “It used to be called The Hairstylist Photo Contest And Giveaway. But ‘Queen For The Day’ is a more attractive title that prompts people to think, ‘This is something for me.’”
Queen For The Day is merely the beginning. Bryan says future plans call for affiliate partners, sponsorships, and joint venture agreements.
