Mavagi Enterprises, Inc., a San Antonio-based nonprofit that works within the ability one federal program to employ disabled individuals looking for work and purpose, this week announced despite the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, they are increasing their employees’ salary to thank them for their service.

By providing services to the federal government through landscaping, commercial cleaning, IT services, stocking services, custodial services, and other basic property management services, Mavagi Enterprises has a proven track record that can successfully transform customer expectations into reality.

“As a nonprofit with no funding, grants, or any assistance from agencies and institutions, we are proudly offering our employees an hourly increase right now to thank them for their service to our foundation,” said Karina Hernandez, President of Mavagi Enterprises, Inc. “If you or someone you know has suffered a disability and feels like they are unemployable, we want them to think again. There is hope to overcome those barriers with our good-paying jobs that come with benefits.”

Mavagi Enterprises is a fully insured, licensed, and professional service nonprofit that works with Medical Facilities, Military Bases, and Homeland Security.

Their website platform provides a career page where individuals can view current job openings and apply for positions online. Those interested can simply submit the forms by emailing the nonprofit. The forms available include: English Employee Application Form, Spanish Employee Application Form, and Self Identification of Disability Form. Available job positions at this time include: area manager, director of operations, store worker, janitor, custodial lead, compliance officer, and the list goes on.

“People with disabilities face unemployment at nearly four-times more than the rate of the general population,” said Hernandez. “And it’s not because they are underqualified – it’s because of a prejudice our nonprofit is determined to squash. We are so proud of the people who comprise our community today, which is why they deserve a monetary raise, especially during these trying times.”

Most of the services provided through Mavagi Enterprises have been deemed essential by social distancing mandates. As Texas and surrounding states prepare to open back up next week, the Mavagi team is encouraging all disabled individuals to consider checking out their available job and career listings.
