Artist Releases Dreamy Debut Album

Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) July 3rd, 2019

For Maxime, releasing his debut album seems almost written in the stars. The Paris born artist was born into a musical family, his father wrote Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, and his mother was the first Cosette in Les Miserables in France. While he started his artistic career studying photography, Maxime quickly abandoned it the first time he picked up a guitar. With the release of “The Honest Me P1”, Maxime has truly carved out his own space in his family’s impressive musical history.

Maxime uses his voice and platform to stand up for issues he believes in. A cause that pushes Maxime to create art is his love for the ocean. The album artwork for “The Honest Me P1″ , created by AJ France, is a powerful image depicting the artist underwater with a plastic bag floating nearby. Maxime says ” I chose this album cover with me underwater and the subliminal message with the plastic bag to show the epidemic that is plastic waste and to show the devastating effects of single-use plastic.”

“Is this love?”, the single from the album, is a silky ballad that audiences will want to put on repeat. The video for the single has already garnerd over 28k views on YouTube. Maxime’s single conveys his unique artistry that is sure to keep pushing him towards the top. Martin B Janssen, a composer friend of Maxime’s, helped him to produce the single in his native Paris.

“The Honest Me P1” came to life May 28th and was released to the world. The 7 tracks that comprise the album seem to be a reflection of the past and present of Maxime’s career.  The rest of the songs on the album, apart from “Is this love?”, were recorded in Los Angeles’ Brewery Studios and the entire album was mastered at Abbey Road Studios.

Next up for the artist is a duet with french songwriter Alizee called “Empty Smile”. The new single will be out soon. Listen to Maxime’s debut album “The Honest Me P1” now on SoundCloud and Spotify. For news and updates, follow Maxime on Instagram

About Maxime

Maxime Boublil was born in Paris, France, into a musical theater family. His father wrote Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, his mother was the first Cosette in Les Miserables in France. As a child, he played cello for eleven years but knew he never wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps. Maxime studied photography at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco and after a year realized that it wasn’t for him. He soon found what he was looking for when he walked into a friend’s dorm room one day and picked up their guitar. Soon after, he switched his major to Music in Visual Media and started composing. Maxime eventually pursued a career as an engineer at “Furstock Studios” with three-time aria award-winning engineer Doug Brady, all the while writing his own songs on the side. Realizing he needed to do something with the over fifty songs he had written, he began to produce and record his own music. Listen to Maxime on Spotify and SoundCloud.
