Paul Brown’s business career opened full throttle after starting an automotive battery delivery service.  He started a mobile battery replacement service called Mobile Battery Squad that delivers car batteries to customers’ locations and installs them.

The Texas native and San Antonio College attendee were in full swing, greeting those who stopped by his booth.  With a smile, Paul tells his business model of providing mobile battery services and his idea of quality customer service.  “You have to provide only the best in all you do. It was by the idea that Paul began providing battery service himself to the San Antonio community. After purchasing a large number of batteries, his wife thought he was crazy, and he began to offer battery delivery and installation services.

Those who know Paul know him as a true entrepreneur. It is said that Paul runs on coffee and is known as “Night Crawler” by his friends who witness his long night work hours. Paul often fields calls himself in his local markets to ensure customers are satisfied.

“I wanted to offer a superior battery service than the usual run of the mill battery companies. I wanted to focus on durability and professionalism consumers can depend on.”

Paul has a long history in the automotive sector. He started by providing roadside assistance to operating a towing and repossession company, to a tire shop, and then the Mobile Battery Squad.

“I was tired of being yelled at and having guns pulled on me doing repossessions,” he said with a chuckle. “Now, people are happy to see me, especially when they have a dead car battery that needs replacement.”

Paul added that he is to return to UTSA to begin his journey to becoming a Psychiatrist. He plans to utilize the Mobile Battery Squad to support his education.

“The battery market is unwelcoming to the revelation I am introducing. Customers can now book a battery service directly from their phone. Our battery technicians are dispatched out and provide a complete solution. We deliver the customer’s new car battery, install their car battery, and provide an auto care service all at the customer’s location.”

When asked what Paul plans for the Mobile Battery Squad, he stated, “I’ll know that when the time comes. For now, I focus on making the customer experience the best they have had with a mobile mechanic to install a car battery.” Between visitors, Paul offered that in 2019 he added several providers in Texas, Florida, and Ohio.  Additionally, he provides that the Mobile Battery Squad installed just under half a million in battery sales.
