Mr. Wrong: New Play Explores Actions, Consequences, and Redemption

Industry: Film

A portion of proceeds will also support education

Miami, FL (PRUnderground) October 16th, 2017

In Mr. Wrong “Chronicles of a Phenomenal Woman”, we meet Lilly James. She knew life was not fair. She understood that actions have consequences. She did the crime and after was willing to do the time. But, things change when her mother is on her deathbed. Golden Touch Productions and Florida Film House partnered to produce a live action story of challenges, consequences, and redemption. Even in the mist of life’s biggest challenges, Lilly comes to realize what many of us already knew: you always have a choice. The show is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, at 8 p.m., at the Julius Littman Theater 17011 N.E. 19th Avenue, North Miami Beach Florida, 33162.

“Failure has never been final” said Yonel Aris, the playwright and director. “This play showcases a woman transforming her life from a painful failure into a promising future.”

This slapstick comedy yet heartfelt drama, chronicles the story of a once successful businesswoman’s quest to regain the life she lost after finding herself on the wrong side of the law. In a desperate attempt to successfully complete her parole, Lilly James finds a job that will ultimately change her life for the worst, or will it?

The production comes on the heels of the FFH and Yonel Aris acclaim at the recent Urban Film Festival where they announced agreeing to a three-picture deal with Romeo Land, an entertainment company owned by multimedia moguls Romeo and Percy “Master P” Miller. FFH and Yonel Aris will adapt all of their future plays into films. The film version is slated to go into production two weeks after the play. Additionally, Aris is donating a portion of the proceeds from the play to organizations that help provide inner city youth with college scholarships

“My college education has had a strong impact on me,” said Aris. “It is my goal to use my gifts talents and influence to help open the door for local talent and to give a lending hand to my community”

Come witness what happens when crime meets love, passion meets hate, and good boys are traded for bad ones in this critically acclaimed play. Yonel Aris and various cast members are available for media information. Send media requests to yonel@floridafilmhouse.com or call 786-222-5082.
