Christmas Delivered Show! From New York with Gifts” will feature world-renowned musicians in an evening of live music, comedy and entertainment, December 10 at Tampa’s Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than by enjoying classic Christmas music performed by some of the world’s best instrumentalists and renown vocalists, sprinkled with a little comedy and Big Apple attitude.That’s what inspired the latest production by music producer Michael Brovkine.
New Show, Christmas Delivered! From New York with Gifts captures the spirit of Christmas, presented through the production’s refreshing blend of holiday music and comedy, performed world class talent including local and international performers. The show will feature Tampa’s very own Lumina Choir. The Choir will perform side-by-side with some of the most critically acclaimed musicians to delight the audience with Christmas classics and new holiday songs. American Idol season finalist, Haley Reinhart, will provide the audience with a special performance of holiday classics. Cuban prodigy pianist Jorge Luis Pacheco joins the show as a special guest.
The show will be hosted by actor-writer-comedian Barry Rothbart. His credits include appearances in film (The Wolf of Wall Street, The Happytime Murders) and television (The Conners, Punk’d) as well as performing stand-up on The Tonight Show and on his own Comedy Central special. Legendary saxophonist Bill Evans is also joining the show. Bill Evans who is known for his work with Miles Davis’ who joined the band at 21, recording six albums with the legendary trumpeter. He performed with a host of jazz and rock luminaries including John McLaughlin, Herbie Hancock and Mick Jagger. His adventurous solo work explores bluegrass, jazz and funk. He’s also an in-demand sideman.

Regarding New York vocalist and composer Ashley Pezzotti, Jazz & Blues Report wrote: “Her intonation, the clarity of her phrasing, her vocal dynamics, and her timing are impeccable, and she is also a wonderful songwriter inspired by the American Songbook.”
– Drummer Tommy Campbell is an original member of the Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, which was formed in 1997. He’s played with John McLaughlin, Sonny Rollins, the Manhattan Transfer, and Mingus Big Band, among many others. He’s also known for incorporating noise-making pet toys into his performance without once losing the beat.
– Emmy-nominated Benny Benack III, a trumpeter and vocalist in the post-Sinatra mode, has a sly, mature, naturally expressive delivery, as well as a thrilling sense of showmanship.
– Grammy-nominated saxophonist and composer Yaacov Mayman has performed with jazz greats, such as Joe Lovano and Randy Brecker.
