Norwalk, CT (PRUnderground) March 25th, 2021
New York Institute of Technology (New York Tech) has selected Akademos as its partner to provide a new full-service platform for course materials, as well as branded merchandise and apparel to its community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. A career-focused non-for-profit private university, with campuses on Long Island and in New York City, as well as Jonesboro, Ark., and Vancouver, B.C., New York Tech will launch Akademos’ streamlined technology solution to support students beginning in the summer 2021 term.
“We’re pleased to partner with Akademos, our new online bookstore, which offers a superior retail platform that will meet the needs of our students and provide affordable solutions and high-quality branded merchandise,” said Tiffani Blake, assistant provost for student engagement and development.
By partnering with Akademos, New York Tech will benefit from a single platform that simplifies course content purchasing, delivery for students, and adoption by faculty, while providing comprehensive data and analytics to university administration. This technology, which offers students an online platform to easily access affordable textbooks and course materials in a variety of format options, provides 24/7 accessibility and free shipping options. This student-focused move will streamline online ordering and offer superior customer service.
The Akademos platform’s advanced merchandise capabilities will let New York Tech generate brand awareness without the burden of managing physical inventory. A unique print-on-demand solution will give the university the ability to offer a deep catalog of apparel and other merchandise that can change easily based on seasonality, important events, or student interests. Additionally, the partnership provides New York Tech access to a world-class customer experience and dedicated account management team that will support every aspect of the new campus store strategy.
“Our full-service platform provides powerful tools to make the lives of faculty and administration easier while reducing course material costs for students,” said Raj Kaji, CEO, Akademos. “We’re looking forward to working with New York Institute of Technology as it continues to innovate and inspire critically creative thinking in its tech-forward programs.”
