Nicky's Gardens of Hope's First Charity Golf Competition, In Highland NY on May 5th

Nicky’s Gardens of Hope is a new not-for-profit dedicated to building sustainable, net-zero, inclusive communities for autistic & intellectually disabled (ID) adults in NY State’s historic Hudson Valley. On Cinco de Mayo (May 5th), Nicky’s Gardens is holding a charity Golf Tournament at Apple Greens in Highland, New York (just two miles from Thruway Exit 18 to New Paltz). The tournament will raise preliminary funding to develop its first site.

Nicky’s Gardens of Hope was founded by Adriana Piltz. Adriana was the President of a Wall Street brokerage firm, who left her career to develop housing for Autistic and IDD adults. Adriana’s son Nicky, is severely disabled and cannot care for himself. When she looked for housing for Nicky, she found waiting lists of over a decade. In 2018, Adriana left Wall Street and started developing a better model for housing Nicky, and all of the Nicky’s across America.

“It’s been a long journey, but we are working on a great property for our project, and we have investors lined up. Our first cost is to hire engineers to ensure the land can support our plan. To cover those costs, we’re holding a Golf Tournament. We have had a great response: Rondout Savings Bank, Conduit Capital, and Ellenville Regional Hospital have all signed up as sponsors. We also have gift certificates donated by the Culinary Institute of America and Woodstock Golf Club, and a voucher for two nights at the Williamsburg Hotel. Everyone is going to have a lot of fun!”
