Nina Pandolfo’s “Gratitude” Exhibition at JD Malat Gallery

Industry: Art & Design

JD Malat Gallery in London is currently hosting “Gratitude,” the first art exhibition of the prominent Brazilian artist Nina Pandolfo with the gallery.

New York, NY (PRUnderground) November 21st, 2019

JD Malat Gallery in London is currently hosting a solo exhibition of Nina Pandolfo, an internationally recognized artist from Brasilia. Titled “Gratitude,” the exhibition features a fabulous selection of Pandolfo’s works that celebrate the joy of life and emotions associated with being ‘grateful.’ “Gratitude” is the first solo show of the artist with JD Malat Gallery and one of the most anticipated art events in London this November. The exhibition runs at the gallery through December 7, 2019.

Nina Pandolfo is a Brazilian artist born in Tupa, Sao Paulo in 1977. Pandolfo started painting and drawing at the age of 3, but her true passion became evident at the age of 12, when the girl began tagging public walls. Today, Nina Pandolfo is one of the best known street artists, whose distinctive graffitied murals and canvasses are featured in many galleries, museums, and public spaces around the world.

Nina Pandolfo’s works are inspired by nature and childhood. The artist mainly paints large-eyed and expressive female characters with childish features in mysterious environments, but she also has a series of paintings depicting fish, bees, cats, and other animals portrayed with the same characteristic brushstrokes. Some of her best works are now on view at JD Malat Gallery in London, offering locals and tourists an opportunity to look at the world with childlike innocence and immerse themselves in a unique universe with no negativity.

“Gratitude” exhibition is closely connected with Nina Pandolfo herself. This art project was born from the artist’s personal experiences and her vision of the world around her. Female characters that can be seen in most of Pandolfo’s works are distinguished by their delicacy, strength, and, at the same time, childish look without any race-specific traits. The artist depicts universal women, showing them with the same enchantment and fascination that children feel when discovering something new. This style has become signature to the Brazilian artist, making her works easily recognizable and popular among so many connoisseurs of contemporary art.
