On My Page from renowned British singer / songwriter Sarah Rose.

Sarah Rose (Sarah Rose Shawcross) began her career singing backing vocals for indie band Long-View on their debut album ‘Mercury’ which was released on Warner/14th Floor. She spent time at London Bridge Studios in Seattle recording the album with iconic producer the late Rick Parashar (Nickelback).

Sarah went on to focus on songwriting and co-wrote commercial releases including ‘Sunrise’ for Angel City (Ministry of Sound) which reached the UK Top Ten & ‘City Lights’ from the same UK Top 40 album. She co-wrote ‘Amen’ with the Flashbrothers which was released on Sony/Direction and co-wrote two features for Hed Kandi compilations. Her song ‘Mezmerized’ was used by the brand Jacob’s Creek in Australia. During this time Sarah also performed ‘Amen’ for Radio One in Ibiza on stage with DJ Judge Jules.

Co-writes include Tim Kellett (Olive), Sacha Collisson (Aurora), David Munday (Belinda Carlisle, Tina Turner, Gregg Alexander) and Graham Kearnes (Lucie Silvas).

Sarah went on to write material for herself as an artist (Sarah Rose) and performed her piano & vocal set at London venues including the Bedford, the Troubadour, the Water Rats, the Slaughtered Lamb and the Kensington Roof Gardens. She also signed a song to a Nashville publishing company.

More recently Sarah has released new music onto streaming platforms which have been well received and included on many playlists. Her song ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ was awarded Finalist position in the UK Songwriting Contest 2020 and ‘Next Year’ was awarded Finalist position in the World Songwriting Awards 2020.

‘Next Year’ was later signed by Pretty Decent Music and released by BRIT nominated Sarah Class. Sarah is also a mentor for the inaugural Music Creators Mentoring Programme run by The Ivors Academy and Help Musicians.

Her new single, ‘On My Page’ is inspired by Sarah’s love of Anime films and their portrayal of romance. It was produced by Tom Gibson at Blackhill Studios.
