The Tech Company is Being Recognized for its Transformative Voice-Technology Work in Developing Encyclopedia Britannica’s “Guardians of History” Application

Pactera EDGE was recognized for its innovative work with Encyclopedia Britannica and helping this iconic, 250-year-old brand successfully navigate the emerging voice-technology space to develop a “lovable” learning experience for children using several kid-focused design insights.

The result was “Guardians of History”, a voice-controlled, kid-friendly, educational application designed to work on popular voice-assistant devices like Amazon Echo, Google Home, and other third-party devices. Once installed, “Guardians of History” leads children on immersive, choice-based, voice-controlled, audio adventures, featuring top-secret missions set in various eras from our historical past.

A case study featuring Pactera EDGE’s work on “Guardians of History” will be featured in ISG’s e-book, Scaling Digital: 25 Stories of Innovation and was selected from a field of 400 applicants. ISG evaluated each case study by interviewing the customers involved, assessing the impact of each transformation on the customer’s business, and indexing ISG’s evaluation criteria to determine the top 25 case studies that would be published in the book.

Each of the digital transformation case studies published in the book was evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:

•             Complexity: Obtaining success while driving the design and delivery of complex digital solutions.
