Path Forward Consulting Named To Acquisition International Magazine’s 2021 Global Excellence Awards List As Most Influential Workplace Race Relations Specialist

Path Forward Consulting has been named to Acquisition International Magazine’s Global Excellence Awards List as Most Influential Workplace Race Relations Specialist, 2021.

Allison Manswell, Founder and Chief Results Officer of Path Forward Consulting, says, “Especially at a moment like this in US history, we need corporations and other organizations to improve their results around diversity, equity and inclusion and amplify their voice for justice.”

The Global Excellence Awards are an annual program in which recipients are determined using a thorough process of research, analysis, shortlisting, and selection. Awardees are recognized based on their work and notable achievements throughout the year.

Manswell says her firm’s combination of programming, methodology, and courage is the key reason why they are able to consistently deliver results. “There aren’t many diversity consulting firms that have race as an unapologetic focus area,” she says, “We are able to solve for issues that other people are afraid to address.”

Path Forward Consulting’s signature course is Silence is a Statement: Understanding Race in the Workplace. The course raises participants’ awareness by giving them insight that they may not get anywhere else. It breaks down the emotional barriers and guides them in identifying the types of situations that may require their voice on race. It also increases their confidence to speak up in those situations.

“What we’ve seen time and again around one hour into the course, a moment when people in the corporate majority become aware of their whiteness as a racial experience. They learn how this impacts their colleagues, and the damage caused by denying white privilege,” she says.

To further the firm’s commitment to continuing achieving these outcomes, Path Forward Consulting is launching a Diversity, Equity, Belonging & Inclusion (DEBI) Action Learning Cohort (ALC) to accelerate the knowledge, skills and abilities of HR and DEI professionals and magnify their ability to impact change in these areas.

“Passion doesn’t equal courage, and courage doesn’t equal capacity,” Manswell says, “The biggest contribution that we can make is to duplicate our impact and provide support to those doing DEI work.”
