Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli, the world’s largest peanut butter and jelly shop, is announcing The Jampionship: the first and largest peanut butter and jelly sandwich eating contest on the globe.

Contestants in the event on August 15th will seek the prize recognizing who can eat the most peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in 10 minutes. The winner will receive a trophy and cash prize, in addition to lifelong bragging rights because the person who wins this contest will forever be able to say they won the first contest of its kind.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli grinds its nut butters in-house, every day. Mike Hottinger, President, says, “We offer 3 types of peanut butters, natural, honey roasted, and peanut butter and dark chocolate as well as natural almond butter and cashew butter.”

In addition to the absolute freshest nut butters, the PBJ Deli offers over 100 jams, jellies, and preserves to choose from. Partnering with regional jelly farms allows the deli to have the largest selection of preserves available anywhere! Hottinger added, “All of our jams and jellies are all-natural and don’t have any additives or preservatives” Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli nut butters and preserves are available to purchase at the company’s website, www.thepbjdeli.com.

The PBJ Deli specializes in classic and gourmet peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as well as other specialty foods and treats that feature peanut butter and jelly combinations! The menu features
selections such as The King, PB Banana, Grilled Cheese and Jell, and the Strawberry Lovers. The Deli offers about 10 fresh breads as well as a gluten free option and their specialty is that they grill their sandwiches. Hottinger says, “If you’ve never had a grilled PBJ, you haven’t lived!”

All the fresh nut butters, jams, and jellies are for sale to enjoy at home. Additionally Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli sells its products to 30 retail grocery stores as well as on their website. Not only will the Jampionship be a fun event, it will be getting recognition from the Mayor of West Allis, who will be on hand to issue a proclamation officially declaring PB&J day in West Allis.

“I have just always love peanut butter and jelly, and most people do,” Hottinger says, “But people need to realize there’s so much you can do. We offer a cool menu with different types of sandwiches that have the freshest nut butters, natural preserves and many toppings and fresh fruit that all work together. Our grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are simply outstanding!”
